    </p><p>Based on insights from the 2024 cricket season, the report highlights how fans are embracing second-screen
      experiences on AI-powered smart surfaces, and mobile-first engagement, offering brands a strategic playbook for
      this high-energy period. During IPL season last year, arguably India’s biggest cricket tournament, over 120
      million users engaged with Glance smart lock screen, preferring interactive, one-tap content over passive
      match-watching. This second-screen behavior is growing, with users having spent 44% more time on cricket-related
      content overall, driving 314 billion glances and 433 million taps. They also explored news, entertainment, food,
      and health content, while quick commerce and gaming saw a surge in engagement. </p>

    <p>Cricket fans consumed content in multiple languages, with English dominating at around 81%, given its widespread
      appeal among urban and digital-first audiences. Regional languages made up approximately 19% of the consumption,
      with Hindi (36.22%), Tamil (25.31%), Kannada (15.35%), Marathi (12.13%), and Telugu (10.99%) gaining traction,
      reflecting the local connection to the game. </p>

      Beyond second screens and smart surfaces, apps maintained a lead during the cricket season. AppsFlyer data shows a
      significant spike in app installs, and in-app purchases, particularly in OTT, streaming, shopping, food and
      drinks, investment, and travel. Engagement skyrocketed, with gaming apps seeing 6x higher CTRs, home entertainment
      5.6x higher, and music 3.5x higher. Cricket fans were more active than ever, with 9.4% more in-app clicks, 21x
      higher video ad engagement, and full-screen interstitials delivering 13x better performance than industry
      benchmarks.

Through this collaboration, Glance will leverage Google’s AI models to develop consumer-facing AI applications designed to enhance and enrich user experiences on smartphone lock screens and ambient TV screens.  </p>

        <p>Ramadan, a holy month for millions of Indonesian people, culminates in a time of considerable cultural and consumer activity. Glance, the world’s leading smart lock screen platform, released its ‘Ramadan 2025 at a Glance’ report today offering marketers key actionable user insights and winning strategies for the season. The findings reflect how Glance with a user base of 30 million in Indonesia has successfully disrupted evolving content consumption trends in the country, especially during Ramadan. </p>
        <p>This report, based on consumer behaviour on Glance during last year’s Ramadan period (11th March to 10th April 2024), highlights diverse user interests. Content around Mudik resonated deeply with Indonesian users and saw a staggering 917.5 million glances and 27 million taps. Ramadan recipes were a huge hit, as families prepared for Suhoor and Iftar, generating an impressive 380 million glances and 7 million taps. The fervour extended to users discovering stories around Eid traditions, with 185.6 million glances and 4.3 million taps, emphasizing the richness of shared heritage. Gaming recorded 37.9 million gameplays from consumers, who also spent 298 million hours watching video content. Fashion and health-related topics also captured significant user interest.&nbsp;</p>
<p>As per the report, user activity peaked on the Glance smart lock screen platform primarily during the daytime before Iftaar, as users dedicated significant time to their mobile phones before breaking their fast. This period saw a surge in time spent on gaming (leading with almost 65% users), OTT and streaming services, and religious apps, particularly.&nbsp;</p>

        <p>Additionally, the results of a survey conducted on Glance users between 13th and 23rd December 2024 revealed fascinating insights into consumer plans and preferences around shopping during Ramadan. More than half of Glance users reported an increase in their budgets this Ramadan, with 50% of shoppers expecting to spend over Rp 3 million and 22% anticipating expenditures above Rp 5 million. The report also highlights that nearly 58% of Indonesian shoppers prefer to complete their Ramadan shopping four weeks before the holy month begins.  </p>
        <p>Big ticket items like jewelry didn't feature on top of the shopping list of Indonesian consumers. Instead, purchase patterns appeared to be more personal and meaningful, reflecting the mood of festive celebration. Clothing and accessories were the top category in both online and offline formats, at 66% and 61%, respectively. Confectionary gifting was also a popular choice across both the channels. Additionally, online shoppers showed a   preference for home appliances (38%), beauty products (34%), and gadgets (34%). The offline shoppers prioritized groceries for home-cooked meals (53%), home décor (44%), and DIY hobbies (41%).  </p>

            <p>IMD employs advanced numerical weather prediction models to analyze and forecast critical weather conditions, continually enhancing this capability. Long-term and large-scale weather alerts for events such as cyclones, low-pressure systems, and depressions can be predicted 3 to 5 days in advance, allowing people to prepare and minimize potential loss of life or property. Additionally, hyper localised alerts provide timely warnings for short-term events such as localised heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, hailstorms, or dusty winds which may last only for a few hours. The distribution of these alerts will now be accessible directly on smartphone lock screens, enabling wider reach and quicker dissemination of critical information with the help of 1Weather and Glance.</p>

        <p>The report, based on a sample survey of mobile phone users in India, reveals that festive shopping remains
            strong, with 91% of respondents planning to make purchases. Over 77% respondents said they have increased
            their budgets compared to previous year while 25% have indicated a willingness to spend over ₹50,000. Mobile
            remains the preferred shopping platform for Indian consumers, with 43% of respondents planning to make
            purchases a few times a week and 11% shopping daily, according to the report. This year, 85% of respondents
            intend to use shopping apps during the festive season, up from 78% last year. The top five online shopping
            categories are clothing and accessories (87%), confectionery gift packs (64%), beauty products (61%), home
            décor (56%), and gadgets (53%).&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

        <p>While online shopping leads the way, offline and hybrid shopping still hold a notable share. Thirteen per
            cent of respondents prefer shopping exclusively in-store, while 50% favour hybrid shopping
            experiences— a slight decline from 54% last year. The top five categories for offline shopping are
            jewellery (67%), clothing and accessories (63%), confectionery gift packs (51%), home appliances (44%), and
            home décor (44%).&nbsp;</p>

The platform has witnessed a remarkable 41% increase in active users between July 2023 and March 2024, primarily driven by growing interest for ‘snackable’ games that do not require downloading.&nbsp; Gamers on Nostra engage in these quick sessions multiple times daily, averaging about 11 minutes per session, exploring up to three different games each day, and returning to their favourite titles up to four times a day. Notably, 72% of <strong>women gamers play daily and multiple times a day, a frequency on par with that of male gamers</strong>.&nbsp;</p>
        <p>Another compelling trend that Nostra has experienced is a <strong>substantial increase among young gamers</strong>, particularly those aged 18-24. Between July 2023 and March 2024 period, there was a 21% rise in young gamers, who now make up 71% of Nostra's user base. Casual games (32%) are their top choice, followed by arcade (31%) and racing (17%). Casual games continue to be a favourite among women gamers as well. These <strong>young gamers use gaming to relieve stress and anxiety, learn new skills, and challenge themselves daily</strong>.&nbsp;</p>

            More than 50 million cricket enthusiasts nationwide actively participated in Star Sports’ ‘Star Nahi Far’ contest on Glance Smart Lock Screen, making it the biggest contest conducted on the platform. The contest commenced in February as part of Star Sports’ flagship campaign leading up to the just concluded T20 season. Its momentum persisted throughout, attracting participants from over 1,450 cities and towns across the country.  </p>
            <p>The contest involved participants answering questions related to leading Indian and international cricketers, both on the Glance Smart Lock Screen and during match broadcasts on Star Sports. Participating consistently in the quizzes and providing correct answers were essential factors for winning. Notably, a winner from New Delhi participated in the contest an astonishing 3,700 times and had the opportunity to meet her favourite star, Rishabh Pant, fulfilling her dream.&nbsp;</p>
